Outreach Programs

Monthly Communion Offerings left on the Communion Rail during the Monthly Communion Service go into the Good Neighbor Fund for the Pastor’s use to help those in need.

DVD Ministries The Worship Services are recorded on DVD and provided to persons who are unable to attend the services at the Church.

Urban Ministries is a local organization that provides counseling and food for the homeless and people in need. It is supported by local Clarksville Churches. Hilldale members provide both volunteer help and food.

Habitat for Humanity Hilldale members have helped build homes for Habitat for Humanities for many years.

F.U.E.L. (Full ‘uv Emmaus Love) The F.U.E.L. program was born when HUMC decided to help provide food for kids who were subject to going hungry from Friday till Monday when they could again eat at school. Starting with this church adopting eligible students at Moore Elementary School, the program has grown to ten churches serving 10 schools. HUMC’s mission is to provide food for 40 children each weekend.

Clothing Drive The Church conducts a clothing give-away twice a year. It is open to any Clarksville resident needing clothing. Clothing is donated by members.

Scouts Hilldale and the Civitan Group sponsor Troop 514, which meets in the Scout Building located on the Church grounds. It was built in 2000 by Eddie Burchett, one of our members. Prior to that the Troop met in the church basement scout room since it’s beginning in 1959.

Operation Christmas Child During Advent we collect items to fill shoe boxes with toys, school supplies, personal items, and other gifts. These are then distributed as Christmas gifts to millions of children each year.

Angel Tree In conjunction with The Salvation Army we collect Christmas Gifts for local children who would not have a Christmas gift otherwise.

Loaves and Fishes The Clarksville area Soup Kitchen. It serves lunch to those in need. We support this ministry with volunteers as well as monetarily.
